* Immediately start drinking a lot of
water. This will make you pass a lot
of dilute urine which will flush out
the germs. You should aim for one or
two pints of fluid an hour at first.
Bland fruit drinks are better than
tea or coffee.
* Take a mild painkiller if necessary
and relax to try and get some rest.
* You could take some alkali to help
neutralise the acid urine responsible
for the burning. Ask a pharmacist for
advice and follow the instructions.
