     Thrush is caused by a yeast-like   
 organism called Candida. Most people   
 carry the organism on their skin and in
 the bowel. Symptoms only occur with an 
 overgrowth of Candida organisms.       
                                        
   Symptoms                             
                                        
     Itching of the vulva and a thick   
 white vaginal discharge. The vulva may 
 become swollen and sore.

     If you have an unusual discharge or
 itch you should get medical advice from
